A new public house with a little of it all is now open, and is preparing for its grand opening weekend. Blacksmith Public House – located in, you guessed it, a former blacksmith shop – opened last week on SW Evergreen Street in downtown Redmond. This place, owned by Michael and Molly Kosakowski, ticks all the boxes.

The Research House was rebuilt with the most modern materials and design adaptations by Neutra and his son Dion in 1966. There is also a Garden House on the property that was occupied by Dion Neutra and his family. Tours of the VDL House are conducted on Saturdays by architecture students from Cal Poly Pomona. The Blacksmith Public House opened in downtown Redmond and the building is decorated as a nod to some of its original tenants.
Part taproom, part food truck lot, part music venue, and part coffee shop, Blacksmith Public House provides guests the all-inclusive experience Redmond has been waiting for. A food truck lot, sometimes called food truck parks, is a number of mobile food options that you can order as an alternative to restaurants. Food trucks, or concession trailers, provide street food to locals and visitors alike on city streets. Neutra ran his architectural from the original house from 1932 until a fire destroyed most of the main building in 1963.
